Nathan focuses on the road as he reaches for her hand, but instead rests it on her knee and rubs her knee with the pad of his thumb.
She looks over at him and rests her hand on top of his, rubbing against he side of his hand. Sam smiles softly, before looking back out the window and moves their hands to rest over her stomach.
He smiles to himself and holds the steering wheel with one hand. He pulls up to their driveway and parks his car, looking over at her with a warm smile.
Nathan kisses her cheek and opens the door for her. Once she was seated safely, he climbs in the driver’s seat and buckles his seat belt.
Sam buckles her seat belt before looking over at him and smiling warmly, resting her hand onto her tummy. She rubs it gently with the pad of her thumb as she rests her head back against the seat.

“Of course.” He flashes her a warm smile before leading her out the restaurant. Holding the door open for her, he allows her to go first before following behind.
She matches his smile with her own as they leave the restaurant and she walks out to the car. Sam takes his hand in hers, sticking close to his side should anything happen, just to be on the safe side.

Nathan finishes his glass of water. The waitress comes by with their bill before he pulls out his wallet and pays for their meal. He stands and extends his hand once more for Sam to take.
Sam takes his hand, lacing their fingers together and stands from the booth as she leans against him and kisses his cheek. “Thank you, baby.” She whispers, kissing his check as well before they walk out of the restaurant. “You always know what I want, it’s amazing.”

She finishes her plate moments after him and looks up at him, setting her fork down as she finishes off her glass of water. Sam smiles up at him before wiping her mouth to make sure she didn’t have any stray sauce at the corners of her mouth. As she looks down at their hands, her heart warms slightly like it always did.

“Eh. Mine’s alright.” He smiles and continues eating, dabbing at his mouth just in case he had any pasta sauce at the corner of his lips. He takes her hand in his and looks at her with loving eyes before eating.

“Could be both.” He grins and takes a bite, groaning at the taste before taking a few more large bites. “Beats my pasta. By a long shot.” He nods and takes a sip on his water as he looks up at her.
She chuckles from the noses he makes and continues taking a few bites, looking up at him and shakes her head. “I wouldn’t say that.” Sam says before taking a decent sized sip of her water and smiling over at him, nodding.

“Ooh. I stare at yours too.” He winks once more before nodding his thanks towards the waitress. “Smells good.” He inhales the aroma of food and hears his stomach growl quietly. “Yup. Let’s eat. I’m hungry.”
Sam laughs, nodding and lifts her fork and smiles at him once more before taking a bite of her pasta. Her stomach growls as she chews the bite down and takes a sip of her water, looking up at him. “The food is always really good here, that or I’m just really hungry every time we come here.”
